Who I am

The Santa Project is run by Jude Sack. You can reach me at judesack@gmail.com about anything on this page.

What I collect

• The email address you enter.
• The ZIP code you enter, and the town, state and approximate coordinates it corresponds to.
• The page that referred you, and the date and time you signed up.

I do not ask for your name, your street address, your phone number, or any information about your children. If you send me any of that yourself, I only use it to answer you.

What I use it for

• Counting how many people have asked, and which towns they are in. That count is the entire point of the project.
• Emailing you about The Santa Project, including what happens on Christmas Eve.
• Deciding where the deliveries go, and operating them.

Who I share it with

The Santa Project is made with delivery, logistics and production partners. I may share the information you submit, including your email address and ZIP code, with those partners so they can assess where deliveries are possible, plan and carry them out, and contact participants about taking part. Partners may store and process that information on their own systems, under their own privacy policies.

I also use service providers to run the site and send email, currently Supabase for the database and Resend for email. They process the data on my behalf.

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. If the project is ever transferred to another organisation, the information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

I may also disclose information where I am legally required to.

Aggregate figures

I publish and share aggregate, non-identifying figures, such as how many people asked in a given town. Those figures never include individual email addresses.

Grown-ups only

This sign-up is for adults. Please do not enter an email address if you are under 18, and do not enter a child's address. If you believe a child has submitted information, write to me and I will delete it.

No promises about Santa

Signing up is a request, not a reservation. It does not guarantee a visit, a delivery, a gift, or that your town will be chosen. Taking part is free, and nothing on this site asks you to pay for anything. The site and the project are provided as they are, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows I am not liable for any loss arising from taking part or from the project not going ahead.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
• Delete your information by emailing me. I will remove your row.
• Ask what I hold about you and I will tell you.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. Write to me and I will honour them.

How long I keep it

Until the project is finished or you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first.

Changes

If this policy changes I will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting how your information is shared will also be sent to you by email.
